Bc pwd online application

In recognition of the present challenges in accessing in person medical appointments and the increase in virtual health care, the Ministry has temporarily made the applications for Persons with Disabilities (PWD) designation and Persons with Persistent Multiple Barriers (PPMB) designation available online. This will enable applicants and health professionals to access the application forms while minimizing the need for clients to attend Ministry and health care offices in person. Please note that DABC will be closed on Monday, August 5th for BC Day. Apologies for any inconvenience!

Open by Appointment Only

Disability Alliance BC offers the following ways to access our services: over the phone, virtually, or in-person at our office located in downtown Vancouver. As the demand for our services is very high, we do not take walk-in appointments.

Since 1977, Disability Alliance BC has been a provincial, cross-disability voice in British Columbia. Our mission is to support people, with all disabilities, to live with dignity, independence and as equal and full participants in the community. We champion issues impacting the lives of people with disabilities through our direct services, community partnerships, advocacy, research and publications.

We acknowledge and have deep gratitude to work together on the unceded traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓ əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Selíl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations of the Coast Salish people. We honour the many territorial keepers of the lands.

DABC is proud to be certified as a Living Wage Employer by Living Wage for Families BC! We are glad to be able to support our staff to feel valued in their roles and provide them with the opportunity to thrive in their communities.
